Kzoo Parks maintains more than 30 parks and public spaces for everyone to enjoy. Each park is unique and together they offer a variety of recreational opportunities for people of all ages. You can also rent space in city parks to host private parties, picnics, and gatherings, or large events for the entire community to enjoy.

Verburg Park

Verburg Park is a great park for the outdoor enthusiast with plenty of grassy open area, a kayak launch on the Kalamazoo River, and a connection to the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail.

Temporary Closure : The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is overseeing the removal of PCB-contaminated sediment within Verburg Park Pond and along the banks of the Kalamazoo River.

Verburg Park will remain closed throughout the winter, including being closed to ice fishing. Work underway in the park may affect the water’s ability to freeze and to keep everyone safe ice fishing is not allowed.
