Pools & Water Features

There are great places to cool off and beat the summer heat without leaving the city! Kik Pool has open swim, aqua fitness, and lap swimming, Woods Lake Park has a beach, and there are free public splash pads on Florence Street and (coming soon!) to LaCrone Park!

Kik Pool

The Kik Pool is Kalamazoo’s destination for aquatic fun all summer long. The pool welcomes all community members for open swimming and also hosts a number of other activities such as aqua fitness, swimming lessons, lap swimming, and a swim meet.

Milham Park

Milham Park is a historic, 49-acre park located in the southwest part of the City. Portage Creek runs through the park, crossed by three bridges and a network of natural paths that wind beneath hundreds of mature trees.

Announcement : Due to storm damage, the restrooms and water fountains next to the southern shelter at Milham Park are closed. The upper restrooms are still available.

LaCrone Park

Bordered by residential areas, LaCrone Park is a hub for recreation in the Northside neighborhood with a playground, tennis court, non-motorized trail, basketball courts, shaded picnic areas, and a splash pad.

Woods Lake Park

Woods Lake Park is in the heart of Kalamazoo, near the Oakland/Winchell and Oakwood Neighborhoods. The park is perfect for a fun summer outing, with a sandy beach, picnic pavilion, restrooms, and a playground.

Florence Street Splash Pad

The Florence Street Splash Pad is a great place to cool off in the summer. It's a small water park on Florence Street in the Northside neighborhood with picnic tables for lunch or a break from the water.
