Kzoo Parks is welcoming the entire Kalamazoo community to Bronson Park on Thursday, December 12 at 5:30 p.m. for “December to Remember,” a holiday event for Kalamazoo families. The event will offer holiday activities for everyone to enjoy for free.
Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate under the holiday lights in Bronson Park. The first 300 guests will receive a holiday craft bag to take home, which will include assorted ornament crafts, winter puzzles, and a winter-themed coloring book with crayons. Children ages 10 and under will be able to choose a toy from the toys donated at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Gift wrapping paper will also be available.
Hot chocolate, craft bags, gifts, and wrapping paper will be available for free while supplies last. The event will end at 6:30 p.m. or whenever items run out.
Kids can bring letters to Santa or write them at the event to drop off in Santa’s mailbox. Santa will reply to letters that include a return address within seven days. A letter template is available online at www.kzooparks.org/december
The Downtown Kalamazoo Holly Jolly Trolley will run from 5 to 9 p.m., offering free rides around downtown and will include a stop on the Kalamazoo Mall by where Santa will be visiting with children in the City Centre (125 S Kalamazoo Mall) from 5 to 8 p.m.
This event is supported in part by Kalamazoo Valley Museum. This event is free, and although the activities are geared towards families with children, all community members are welcome.
