Lunchtime Live! Returns to Bronson Park on Friday, June 12

– Lunchtime Live! returns to Bronson Park on Friday, June 12, bringing live music, summertime games, and a variety of food trucks to downtown Kalamazoo throughout the summer. The free event series will take place Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through August 28. Lunchtime Live! is presented by Lake Michigan Credit Union.
Food trucks will be lined up along the park on South Street with other vendors set up throughout the park selling food and other goods. Each event will feature regional music talent on the Rotary Stage, located on the west end of the park. This year’s entertainment lineup includes:
- Friday, June 12 - SnöShü
- Friday, June 26 - The Kennedy Affair
- Friday, July 10 - Sophia McIntosh
- Friday, July 17 - Levi Lamberjack
- Friday, July 24 - Shelagh Brown Band
- Friday, July 31 - BIG L and Code Blü
- Friday, August 7 - Jacob McLeod
- Friday, August 14 - Youth & Teen Talent Show
- Friday, August 21 - Dylan Tolbert
- Friday, August 28 - Carrie McFerrin
There will not be a Lunchtime Live event on Friday, June 19 or Friday, July 3 due to holiday observances.
On August 14, there will be a special youth focused Lunchtime Live! event featuring a youth talent show and youth entrepreneur fair. Youth and teens 18 and under can participate in the talent show with music, dance, and comedy performances and youth entrepreneurs can sign up as vendors and showcase their businesses to the community, network with other young entrepreneurs, and sell their products. Presented by the Kalamazoo Youth Action Council. Youth can sign up to participate in the August 14 event as a performer or vendor at www.kzooparks.org/talentshow
“Summer is in full swing in Downtown Kalamazoo, and Lunchtime Live! is another great reason to get outside and experience everything happening in the heart of our city,” said Zachary Farley, special events coordinator for Kzoo Parks. “People can grab lunch from a local food truck, enjoy live music and games in beautiful Bronson Park, and then continue exploring everything downtown has to offer. We’re excited to bring this event series back and grateful to our partners like Kalamazoo in Bloom, whose work helps make Bronson Park such a vibrant and welcoming community space.”
Lunchtime Live! is free to attend and all community members are welcome.
