The Kik Pool (1018 Walter Street) swimming season has been extended, and the pool will now be open through Friday, August 15.
The Kik Pool season was originally planned to start on June 4, but the opening had to be delayed when the scheduled lifeguard trainer withdrew, and staff had to confirm a new trainer for the season.
“We’re adding a few more days to the pool season to help make up for the delayed start. We want to thank our seasonal pool staff for staying on a bit longer to make this possible, and thank our guests who were patient while we finished staff training for a safe season,” said Chad Wendt, Recreation Manager. “We look forward to seeing you out there for a few more days of sun, fun, and swimming!”
The pool is open daily with both lap swim and open swim hours:
Aqua Fitness classes hosted at the pool by Just Move Fitness and More will also add an extra class on Tuesday, August 12. Aqua fitness classes are $10 for drop in or are included in season pool passes.
The pool will have afternoon closures (closed from 1:30 - 4 pm) coming up on July 25 and August 7 for summer camps. More information on the pool and passes can be found at www.kzooparks.org/KikPool
