Restrooms, water fountains, and vehicle gates at some City of Kalamazoo parks have closed for the fall and winter months and will reopen May 1 of next year. Parks will continue to be open year-round, daily from 8 a.m. to sunset.
Kzoo Parks is the City of Kalamazoo's Parks & Recreation Department. Our mission is to provide great parks and great experiences for everyone in our community. There are more than 30 parks and green spaces located throughout all of Kalamazoo's neighborhoods which are open to everyone year-round. Our recreation team offers a wide variety of programs ranging from development and exploration programs for youth, summer camps, tutoring, youth sports, and even recreational sports leagues for adults. Our team also hosts community events throughout the year and supports community members hosting their own public events.
