Southside Park, located in the Edison neighborhood, covers nearly six acres of area and is perfect for small gatherings. A pavilion with two picnic tables and a grill offer a nice spot for a birthday party or afternoon cook out. Not far from the pavilion there is a water fountain and playground. The park also has 1,980 feet of paved trail around the park. Up the hill from the park entrance you will find a half basketball court and a full soccer field.
Southside Park was developed as part of the Works Progress Administration in 1940 at a cost of approximately $65,000 between the City and Federal Governments.
