Reed Street Park is an easy walk or bus ride away. Located right off Portage St and next to a grocery store, this park is convenient for an afternoon visit. In this 1.5 acre park you’ll find new playground equipment, a walking path, a picnic shelter with tables, a basketball court, outdoor exercise equipment, and bike racks, from park improvements in 2019.
In the 1930-1940’s Reed Street Park was a popular gathering space for ice cream socials. The granite boulder located on the southeast corner of the park was dedicated to a Union Civil War Veteran’s organization, the Grand Army of the Republic.
