Bordered by residential areas, LaCrone Park offers a hub of recreation in the Northside neighborhood. LaCrone spans an area of 5 acres and offers several ways to get active including a playground, tennis court, non-motorized trail, and basketball courts. With shaded picnic areas, grills, and toilets, LaCrone has everything you need for your next grill out. LaCrone Park was named after the Parks Superintendent, William LaCrone in 1935. If you are interested in renting space at LaCrone Park for your event, please call the Parks & Recreation Office at (269) 337-8191.
LaCrone Park Splash Pad
The splash pad will be located just north of the existing playground and will include water features and sprinklers, an awning with picnic tables, and a rubberized surface underneath. Park visitors will be able to activate the water features by pressing a push button.
Once completed, the new splash pad will be open seasonally each year from the second Monday in June through the second Monday in September. Water features will be available daily between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The splash pad will be free to use and open to the entire community.
The Imagine Fun! Parks & Recreation Master Plan set a goal to add new spray parks throughout the city. The location for this project was chosen based on community input during planning in the fall of 2019.
