Adults can learn historical longsword combat and techniques through introductory classes taught by the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy. The Museum will provide all necessary equipment (except an Athletic cup for male students). See below for the list of upcoming sessions.

Join the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy as they lead this introduction to historical longsword combat and techniques! This also acts as a great introduction to the world of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), and is led by Evan Jones! This class will allow students to learn the art of Swordsmanship as practiced by Renaissance Swordsmen of 16th Century Holy Roman Empire (Modern Germany), as recorded by Joachim Meyer.

A continuation of the German Longsword Curriculum. Open for any graduates of SM&A German Longsword Level 1. Students will learn the swordsmanship techniques of the 16th century German swordsman Joachim Meyer and the Leichtenauer tradition! Class will include optional guided sparring. Instructor: Evan Jones, an experienced and skilled swordsman of the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy.

A continuation of the historical Medieval longsword curriculum. Open to any students who have completed (or are in the process of completing) the Longsword Level 2 class. Students will learn the swordsmanship techniques of the 16th century German swordsman Joachim Meyer and the Leichtenauer tradition! Class will include optional guided sparring. Instructor: Evan Jones, an experienced and skilled swordsman of the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy.
