Restrooms, water fountains, and vehicle gates at some City of Kalamazoo parks have closed for the fall and winter months and will reopen May 1 of next year. Parks will continue to be open year-round, daily from 8 a.m. to sunset.

Kzoo Parks is welcoming the entire Kalamazoo community to Bronson Park on Thursday, December 14 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for “December to Remember,” a holiday event for Kalamazoo families. The event will offer holiday activities for everyone to enjoy for free.
Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate while supplies last under the holiday lights in Bronson Park. The first 200 guests will receive a holiday craft bag to take home, which will include assorted ornament crafts, winter puzzles, and a winter themed coloring book with crayons. Local youth vocalist and guitarist, Anessa Hodges, will also be performing on the Rotary Stage.
Kids can bring letters to Santa or write them at the event to drop off in Santa’s mailbox. Santa will reply to letters that include a return address within seven days. A letter template is available online at www.kzooparks.org/december
The Downtown Kalamazoo Holly Jolly Trolley will run from 5 to 9 p.m., offering free rides around downtown and will include a stop on the Kalamazoo Mall by where Santa will be visiting with children in the City Centre (125 S Kalamazoo Mall) from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
This event is supported in part by Coffee Rescue and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. This event is free, and although the activities are geared towards families with children, all community members are welcome.
