Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Kalamazoo will host its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 24 in Bronson Park! Festivities are planned from 5 to 7 p.m. The lighting of the park will occur at approximately 6 p.m. Everyone in the community is invited to celebrate the holiday season and the diverse traditions that make it so special.

Thank you to Kalamazoo Valley Museum and Kalamazoo First Presbyterian Church for their support of the event.

Activities:

• Music & dance performances
• Kids Crafts Tent
• Live painting by Patrick Hershberger
• Grateful For Letters - opportunity for guests to share what they are most grateful for this holiday season, with a chance to be featured on Kzoo Parks social media
• Hot chocolate
• Grinch Tent
• Visits with Santa
• sElfie Station

 

Performances:

The event will be emceed by Von Washington Jr., the Executive Director of Community Relations for the Kalamazoo Promise.

• 5:00 p.m. - Dylan Tolbert, R&B Soul artist 
• 5:10 p.m. - Jay Balden, 2023 Youth & Teen Talent Show winner
• 5:15 p.m. - Kalamazoo Concert Band, Brass Choir
• 6:00 p.m. - The lighting of the park will occur at approximately 6 p.m.
• 6:04 p.m. - Kalamazoo Civic Carolers with Mayor
• 6:10 p.m. - Cori Somers & Carolyn Koebel, Holiday Duo
• 6:30 p.m. - Trinity Prep Center, Dance team
