This FREE event will teach kids biking skills and make sure their bike gear is fitted and working properly.
Kids can bring their helmets and bikes to the event for assistance getting them fitted from public safety officers and to participate in a Bike Safety Course. The Bike Safety Course will have various stations setup, each focusing on a different biking skill for kids to learn and practice.
Open Roads will also provide a bike fixing station for bikes that need minor repairs or tune ups and Fresh Food is Fun will have a bike blender setup that will allow kids to use a bike to make their own slushies with cider and berries.
Bike-themed giveaways will be available while supplies last. 100 bike helmets will be provided at no cost to kids who don’t have their own by Safe Kids Kalamazoo County, led by Bronson Children’s Hospital.
There will also be a bike prize drawing for three bikes donated by Open Roads for ages 0-3, 4-6, and 7-9. (Pre-registration required for prize drawings). Prize drawing winners will be contacted via e-mail or by phone after the event.

Online registration for the Bike Rodeo is required in order to enter the bike prize drawing. Registering ahead of time will also help to speed up event check in.
Prize drawing winners will be contacted via e-mail or by phone after the event. If you aren't interested in entering the prize drawing there will also be limited on-site registration at the event.
