Kzoo Parks After School Programs provide a fun atmosphere for youth to complete their homework, reading, or other school work following the school day. Tutoring and assistance are available and educational games, computers, cards, and more activities are available once school work is completed.
After School Programs will be available at three locations for the 2nd Trimester of Fall 2021: the Youth Development Center, Station 5 Community Center, and Winchell Elementary. Space is limited.
Winchell Elementary: 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Space is limited to 8 students.

Youth Development Center: 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (early available for middle school, as needed)
Space is limited to 25 students.

Station #5 Community Center: 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Space is limited to 20 students.
Recreation Program Assistance
Kalamazoo Friends of Recreation (KFOR) offers Recreation Program Assistance to help cover the cost of recreation programs for City of Kalamazoo residents. Residents can learn more and apply online at friendsofrec.org/apply or by visiting the Kzoo Parks office (251 Mills St). Residents applying for Recreation Program Assistance will need to register for the corresponding Kzoo Parks program in person at the Kzoo Parks office (251 Mills St).
If a program registrant chooses to drop a class prior to the program’s start date, a refund less $10 (processing fee) will be provided (per program/per participant). No refunds will be awarded once a program has started.
