The Kalamazoo Farmers Market will reopen to the public at its Bank Street location during the 2022 season with its first ever connection to bike and walking trails. The first phase of improvements will refurbish the vendor sheds, add an additional vendor shed to the western edge of the site, improve the parking areas, improve the restrooms and office building, and connect the site to surrounding neighborhoods on the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail. 

To facilitate these improvements, Bank Street was rebuilt and realigned as it intersects Lake Street. This creates additional room for parking at the Market's north end. 

Phase one is anticipated to be completed this June. A second phase of improvements will add a playground and a new events space to the Market. Phase two will start after the 2022 market season ends.
