Vehicle gates at some of our parks will close for the season on October 1, but you can still enjoy Kalamazoo's parks in the fall and winter!
Bordered by residential areas, LaCrone Park is a hub of recreation in the Northside neighborhood. It spans five acres and offers many ways to get active like a playground, tennis court, non-motorized trail, and basketball courts. With shaded picnic areas, grills, and toilets, LaCrone has everything you need for your next grill out. LaCrone Park was named after the Parks Superintendent, William LaCrone in 1935.
You can rent the picnic shelter at LaCrone Park for gatherings and events. It's great for 30-40 guests and electricity and restrooms are available. The cost is $150 for four hours.
