Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Kalamazoo will host its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 25 in Bronson Park! Festivities are planned from 5 to 7 p.m. The lighting of the park will occur at approximately 6 p.m. Everyone in the community is invited to celebrate the holiday season and the diverse traditions that make it so special.

Thank you to Kalamazoo Valley Museum, The Kalamazoo Civic, and Kalamazoo First Presbyterian Church for their support of the event.

  • The Children’s Nature Playscape next to Bronson Park will also be open from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be handing out giveaways while supplies last.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from food trucks lined up along the park on South Street including:

  • Weller Barbecue
  • Incredible Kettle
  • On the Roll 


Please note, South Street and St. Johns Place will be closed for the event and only open to the Holly Jolly Trolley, event staff, and event entertainment.  

Attendees should remain cautious and follow CDC and local health official guidelines to protect themselves and the community from COVID-19. This event is free, and all community members are welcome.
